Introducing the new Limitless Wireless Switch from Honeywell
Limitless switches are based on a simple idea - applying the power of cutting-edge wireless technology to the expertise and resources of Honeywell Sensing and Control. We’ve been developing top-shelf heavy-duty switch solutions for more than 75 years. Is it any wonder we are the first company to deliver a state-of-the-art wireless switch solution?
We call the products Limitless, because they are designed to truly expand possibilities. From industrial designers who will be free to envision new equipment innovations, to front-line users who will find there are no boundaries to staying operational and efficient. With the Limitless series of switches, we are cutting the cord, both literally and figuratively. We are inviting you to dig deeper, work smarter, even soar higher - not tethered to the old ways of working.
The Limitless switches eliminate the need for maintenance of your equipment’s wiring. Because there is no actual wiring to install, no wear-and-tear to mend, no frayed cord to ever replace. Which interprets into a better bottom line and increased uptime.
The Limitless Series of switches is based on 802.15.4 point-to-point communications and can be configured to allow potentially up to sixteen devices to communicate with one receiver module. The products are based on Honeywell’s proven harsh-duty and medium-duty limit switches. They have the same mechanical life, temperature ratings, and sealing as standard switches, but they are wireless. Wireless functionality is implemented through an 802.15.4 open protocol RF board operating in the 2.4 GHz globally license-free frequency band. The wireless signal is received by either a panel-mount receiver, or an industrial DIN-rail module, that converts it to an output. Outputs can be LEDs, buzzers, or electrical signals. The capability also exists to provide CAN, ProfiBus, and standard Ethernet communications.

New Interactive Application Demos
Honeywell is expanding their web content to include Interactive Application Demo Web pages. Starting with medical applications, Honeywell created interactive demos outlining how Honeywell products may be applied. Each product featured describes key selling propositions and provides direct links to all the important information about the product line. These Application demos are accessible from the Sensing and Control home page through the "Products and Information" tab.
"Mouse around" our first medical applications: ventilator, dialysis, and anesthesia machines as well as elevators and cranes. More are planned, including heavy-duty equipment, commercial aircraft and industrial machinery.

New Product Introduction: ASDX and ASDX-DO, Ultra-Low and Low Silicon Pressure Sensors
Honeywell is expanding our industry-leading ASDX Pressure Sensor family to include the ASDX Series and ASDX-DO Series plastic silicon pressure sensors with pressure ranges from 1 to 5 psi 0 to 10 inches H2O, that address many industrial and medical applications. The ASDX Series with compensated analog output provides a ratiometric 12 bit analog output for reading pressure over the specified full scale pressure span and temperature range, allowing for fast and easy integration into standard electronic circuits. The ASDX-DO Series with compensated 14 bit digital output provides either an I2C or SPI digital interface for reading pressure over the specified full scale pressure span and temperature range, minimizing connections and providing higher resolution and faster performance through reduced conversion requirements and the convenience of direct interface to the microprocessors or microcontrollers. The ASDX pressure sensor is designed to provide digital correction of sensor offset, sensitivity, temperature coefficients and non-linearity. The ASDX is intended for use with non-corrosive, non-ionic working fluids such as air and dry gases.

The SS311PT / SS411P, 340RT / SS361RT and SS440R / SS461R Series sensors' enhanced sensitivity enables the use of less expensive magnets in some applications. The SS311PT / 340RT / SS361RT's very small footprint takes up less space on the printed circuit board, typically allowing for smaller, less expensive boards. Additionally, the SS311PT / 340RT / SS361RT sensor is supplied on tape and reel, allowing for high volume, automated, lower-cost assembly. Both sensors feature a 3 V supply voltage capability for low-voltage applications. They are available in two package styles, providing application flexibility. The SS11 / SS340 / SS361RT's miniature SOT-23 surface mount package utilizes a tape and reel format; the SS411P / 440R / SS461R's flat TO-92 style is available in bulk (1,000 units per bag). Potential industrial and transportation applications include speed and RPM sensing, motor and fan control, flow rate sensing, and robotics control. Potential medical applications include motor assemblies and medication dispense control.

Dual Connection Safety Switch Helps Reduce Wiring Time
The new MICRO SWITCHTM GKME Series Dual Connection Key Interlock Switch has two pre-assembled connectors that permit daisy chaining from switch to switch. Ease of installing these devices may reduce wiring time by up to 50%, resulting in significant customer savings. The GKME is designed to enhance machine safety as the removal of any switch indicates that a door is open and breaks the electrical safety chain. Equipment maintenance is easier as the switch design allows modules of the machine to be easily removed and replaced followed by plug and play of the safety switch.
